Field Service Technician - Mechanical Assembly
$22.50-25.00/hr.

Our client is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of high-end industrial furnaces serving critical industries including aerospace, defense, and medical device manufacturing. They are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician with strong mechanical aptitude and industrial equipment experience to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys building, assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing complex industrial machinery. Based out of the Aston, PA headquarters, you will primarily support the assembly and production of custom industrial furnaces while also traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment as needed. While electrical troubleshooting is an important part of the position, the ideal candidate is someone whose strengths are rooted in mechanical assembly, machine troubleshooting, and industrial equipment.

Work Schedule
At the Aston, PA facility: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with overtime as needed.
When traveling: Monday through Friday at customer locations.
Expected travel is limited to approximately 10 business days per month, with a maximum of 5 days per trip. A typical workload consists of approximately 75% working from the Aston, PA facility and 25% traveling to customer sites.
Responsibilities
Assemble, build, and support the production of custom industrial furnaces.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems while assisting with electrical control system diagnostics as needed.
Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair industrial furnace systems at customer locations.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
Provide exceptional customer service and technical support both remotely and on-site.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve product design and serviceability.
Maintain accurate service reports, installation documentation, and maintenance records.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing training and education.
Travel Responsibilities
Travel to customer facilities to install new furnace systems and perform repairs and preventative maintenance.
Complete service documentation, reports, logs, and installation records.
Typical travel averages approximately 25% (about 10 business days per month), with occasional periods approaching 50% as business needs require.
Qualifications
Experience as a Field Service Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Assembler, Machine Builder, or similar hands-on role supporting industrial equipment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience assembling, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery.
Working knowledge of electrical control systems with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues when needed.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams.
Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and passport, or ability to obtain a passport.
Willingness to travel as required.
