We’re looking for a detail-oriented and driven Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team in the Gainesville area, must be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a growing insurance carrier.

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting core accounting operations. Your work will directly impact the integrity and efficiency of our financial reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

· Process vendor invoices and employee expense reimbursements for payment, ensure vendor records are accurate for annual 1099 reporting process.

· Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation.

· Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

· Assist with monthly close processes and financial reporting.

· Support the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory financial statements.

· Communicate effectively with colleagues, vendors and stakeholders.

· Uphold company policies and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

· At least 2 years of accounting experience

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Insurance experience is a major plus.

This position is a Hybrid role, and candidates must be able to work in our Celebration Pointe office at least three days a week.
