Carrier Relations and Contracting Specialist
Overview
This hands-on, detail-oriented role focuses on carrier contracting and agency operations for 30+ agencies nationwide. Responsibilities include preparing, submitting, and maintaining contracts, tracking renewals and updates, and managing agency Inboxes containing underwriting, training, contracting, and compliance communications. The role occasionally involves direct communication with carriers and agents to support agency needs. Success requires strong organization, accuracy, and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Salary is $50,000-55,000
Ideal Candidate
Direct experience with insurance carrier contracting
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Self-motivated and proactive, with a sense of ownership
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, multi-agency environment
Knowledge of key insurance terms, carriers, and markets
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for agencies and carriers
Manage operational inboxes for multiple agencies, routing and responding to contracting, compliance, underwriting, and training communications
Communicate with carriers as needed to support agency operations
Coordinate and facilitate carrier transitions following mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including contract updates and banking changes
Prepare, submit, and manage carrier contracting packets for agents and agencies
Maintain accurate and organized records of all carrier contracts and agency documentation
Monitor, track, and communicate carrier updates or changes impacting contracting processes
